Poll Says Obama’s ‘Bitter’ Words Bare Bitter Fruit in Pennsylvania

(Pennsylvania) — U.S. Senator Barack Obama’s ‘bitter’ words gaffe is costing him in Pennsylvania. Big time.

The Illinois Senator and Illinois native Hillary Clinton were padlocked in a tie a week ago. Now Clinton is ahead by 20 big ones.

An American Research Group poll conducted over the weekend, April 11-13 2008, of 600 likely Democratic primary voters statewide asked:

“If the 2008 Democratic presidential preference primary were being held today between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, for whom would you vote: Clinton, Obama, or someone else?” The answer they gave was this:

Clinton–57% Obama–37%

Last week, April 4/5-6/08, an ARG poll had the Democratic contenders gullet-to-gullet:

Clinton–45% Obama–45%

Obama dissed rural America and they are dissing him back.

The primary is on April 22. Fasten your girdle. The ride ain’t over yet.

  3. Onama’s elitist comments are just the tip of the iceberg.
His past is coming back to haunt him.
I have done a lot of research.
Obama is hiding his past, but I believe the truth
    is forthcoming very soon.

  4. For the past two cycles, ARG has consistently had the most bizarre, off the wall results of any pollster in the business.

  5. Rich,

Several days before before the “bitter” bomb, ARG was tracking more or less with Susquehanna, Newsmax/Zogby, and Temple University polls.

We’ll see how the next round of polls shake out.

  6. If they use Zogby it’s because of the methodology. Zogby is an interactive poll, which means they get lots more participants than other polls, but you sign up to be polled. You don’t know which polls you’ll get, but they have a section of people who have already expressed interest in being polled. That’s why their samples are huge. They get 7,000 when Gallup as 1,000. It’s hard to say what will prove more accurate for the ballot box.

  7. Zogby isn’t always an interactive poll. They do “real” polls, too. But Zogby had Obama winning California and Ohio.
