Our Mission
The Illinois political blog--THE iLLINOIS OBSERVER–covers state government-related news and politics.
It focuses on the often strenuous and the occasionally senseless efforts of the Illinois General Assembly, the Governor, not-so-special interest groups, hired lobbyists, citizen lobbyists, organized labor, disorganized labor, reporters, think tank thinkers, public relations wizards, and bloggers to shape or misshape public opinion and pretzel-twist public policy.
THE iLLINOIS OBSERVER, ranked among the top 10 of independent Illinois political blogs, follows many of these unending wrangles over policy and political power or, often over, well, nothing. You can follow along, too.
Enjoy.

Have a nice day !
I have been doing web searches, but I can not find the last time Illinois raised its income tax. Could someone help?
I do not understand a lot mof things about yhe system. i have been running around for around four years asking these people nto help me get training or something and telling them about my home life and when something falls apart they all act shocked!!!! What are we paying the goverment empoyees for. If they helped instead of filling out a piecen of paper we could fix some problems. I think we need to start firing more goverment employees if they bdo not have a certqain success rate and you see how fast things change. i am will to work in a system like that if i do not do a good job i loss my bjob. i just want it everywhere even ceo and a very small pension if they do a poor job. Our crime will drop and the recession nwill turn around. I know this will nnot happen because nof lobbist and other factions but it is a good idea.
