Illinois Elections 2010: Illinois Senate Democrats Outraise GOP Counterparts 2 to 1

(Chicago, IL) — October 18, 2010. In the fund-raising period July 1 through October 3, 2010, Senate President John Cullerton‘s senate Democratic fund outraised Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno‘s GOP senate committee two to one.

Cullerton’s Senate Democratic Victory Fund haul totaled $1,737,391.18 to Radogno’s Republican State Senate Committee $883,744.28.

The Democratic fund began the reporting period with $2,014,062.29 cash-on-hand and spent $2,239,574.70 by October 3. The GOP started with $841,101.71 and blew through $800,602.30.

Cullerton’s caucus committee outspent Radogno’s nearly three to one during the period.

That’s a lot of dough.
