Illinois Elections 2010: National GOP Group Drops $200,000 in Kitty of Illinois House Republicans

(Chicago, IL) — October 18, 2010. The Republican State Leadership Committee today dropped $200,000 into the campaign warchest of GOP Illinois House Minority Leader Tom Cross‘ House Republican Organzation.

The RSLC, which is a separate entity from the Republican National Committee, is dedicated solely to electing Republicans at the state level.

Cross is looking to capture control of the Illinois House from Speaker Michael Madigan (D-Chicago).

The Democrats currently hold a 70-48 majority.

The GOP is spending some real dough.
